June Club Updates

Farmington All-Stars: The Farmington All-Stars 4-H Club met May 5 in the Farmington Town Hall, after having to cancel its last two scheduled events due to tornadoes and other severe weather.

Getting together again for the May meeting, the club voted to reschedule the “Earth Day” roadside cleanup which had originally been scheduled for April to May 16, with cleanup efforts taking place along the roads bordering the Farmington ballpark.

The club also moved forward on plans to volunteer at the Jefferson County Breakfast on the Farm, which will take place the first weekend of June, and at the Watertown Agribusiness Club’s Dairy Breakfast, which is set on Father’s Day weekend. Exact shifts will be determined later.

The club’s next regular meeting will take place Tuesday, June 2 at the town hall. At that time, the club will plant flowers from Jelli’s Market to beautify the town hall as a thank-you to the town for allowing the club to meet there for all of these years.

Ideal Clever Clovers: On May 16th, the Ideal Clever Clovers 4-H club met at the Dwight Foster Public Library in Fort Atkinson.

At the meeting, we discussed the Dairy Breakfast on June 6th. We also talked through logistics for our next meeting at Little Amerrika. We decided to meet a half an hour before the park opens to decide and vote on 2026-2027 club officers. After getting admitted, members will be able to roam and explore rides and a little later, enjoy lunch together.

After the business meeting, President Mark Maloney demonstrated interactive train accessories to members and leaders. He showed an operating icehouse and an electric crane. He shared history and facts and answered questions. It was a fun and interesting way to end the meeting.

Our next meeting will be at Little Amerrika in Marshall, WI on June 20th.
