On June 30th, Clark County hosted the Area Animal Science Days. Jefferson County had twenty-four livestock judgers participate in the livestock evaluation contest. The junior team members were Fynnley Gefvert, Mallory Gefvert, Pyper Gefvert, Nate Flood, Gretta Boettcher, Hayden Gefvert, Ella Greving, Haylie Reu, Greylen Boettcher, Gracie Bishop, Elliot Hanus, Jacob Beauchamp. The senior team members were Gabe Mindemann, Aubrey Beauchamp, Olivia Dolph, Gracelynn Dolph, Aiden Mindemann, Elliott Small, Keilah Reu, Cheyenne Pautz, Gavin Boettcher, Peyton Greving, Vivian Stahl.
The team of Fynnley Gefvert, Mallory Gefvert, Pyper Gefvert, and Nate Flood placed first overall in the junior division. Individually: Fynnley Gefvert placed first, Mallory Gefvert placed seventh, Pyper Gefvert placed ninth.
The senior team of Gabe Mindemann, Aubrey Beauchamp, Olivia Dolph, Gracelynn Dolph placed first overall in the senior division and placed second in reasons. Individually: Aubrey Beauchamp placed second overall, Gabe Mindemann placed third overall and first in reasons, Olivia Dolph placed seventh overall and eighth in reasons, Gracelynn Dolph placed eighth overall.
The senior team of Aidan Mindemann, Elliot Small, Keilah Reu, and Cheyenne Pautz placed fifth overall in the senior division and place first in reasons. Individually: Elliot Small place 11th overall and fifth in reason, Keilah Reu placed tenth in reasons. Vivian Stahl placed 12th in reasons.
The two senior teams and Junior team will compete in the State 4-H Livestock judging Contest on July 20th in Lodi.
