Candy Making

This project teaches kid how to make chocolate candies. They learn suggested candy making techniques which may be learned at different levels.

Child Development

Food Decorating

Creativity can be a piece of cake (or bread or other food)! This project teaches youth how to start making food for parties and events. It may start with knowing and practicing cake decorating skills and advance to creating beautiful works of food art. The only limits are ingredients and imagination!

Food & Nutrition

If you enjoy cooking or just like good food, this project could be for you. You will have fun learning the basics of cooking and then advance to gourmet meals. This project focuses not only on food and cooking, but also nutrition and using MyPlate to guide eating and meal preparation and planning.

Food Preservation

Did your garden produce more tomatoes than you know what to do with, or are you just looking for some healthier prepared food options?  In the food preservation project you will learn how to freeze and dry foods and make jams and jellies. You will also learn what to do with those tomatoes, cucumbers, and other advanced food preservation techniques.

Health

The 4-H health project will help you explore health and wellness in your personal life as well as your home, club, community, country, and world.  In this project, you will learn how to assemble a first aid kit and how to treat cuts, stings, bruises, and other injuries.  You will also be able to learn about how to stay healthy and develop your own personal fitness plan.
