2026 July Natural Science , Adventures, and Environmental Project Info – Enjoy Summer Time Outdoors!

July means County Fair and Summer Vacations.

As you finish Fair exhibits match your entry tags to what you signed up for and are planning to exhibit. Also check that they match with the Fair Book listings in the Divisions under Natural Sciences Dept 15.

Check that your exhibit meets the requirements for your entry. Read the General Rules and any special ones listed for the Divisions. Make notes of highlights and the specific information for each of your exhibit entries. Use a copy of these notes as a resource when presenting and discussing your exhibit with the judge.

Confirm the date and time listed for the judging for your project entry. Enjoy the Fair. See you there.

Enjoy summer outdoor activities whenever and wherever you can. From your backyard, down the street or road, to all the places you go. Take pictures and make notes of all the activities and adventures you plan with your family. Stay safe in all that you do by being aware of ticks and Wild Parsnip and unsafe situations.

2026 July Plant and Soils – Crops, Vegetables, Flowers and House Plants Info – Enjoy and/or Exhibit

County Fair time is almost here. Time to do daily inspection of all plants and/or crops you are planning to exhibit at the Fair. Plan for any weather issues and add protection. Keep a close eye out for insects and/or insect damage.

Match your exhibit tags to what you signed up for and are planning to exhibit. Also check that all match with the Fair Book listings for Plant & Soil Sciences Dept 13 -Plants and Soil and Dept 14 – Flowers and Houseplants

and Dept 15 – Flowers.

Take time to Read Carefully how to prepare each of your entries. Make a card for each entry, listing the details for that entry. Use it as you prepare your exhibit and at the Fair as a reference when talking to the judge. Mark your calendar with the judging dates and times. Double check the Fair website for any changes.
